Below are a variety of ways you can get involved and potentially be featured on H5 Domino Community!
Join the #H5dominocommunity Domino Balance Challenge!
How many dominoes can you balance on ONE?! I challenge you to see how many dominoes you can stack on a single piece! Feel free to do multiple attempts, and keep breaking your personal record! Submit your best attempt, and I’ll put together a highlight reel for our next Collaborative Community Compilation :) Watch the video below for more info and scroll down for all the rules/guidelines!
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
🔹The base must be a single domino placed vertically to support the entire stack. Afterward, the dominoes used in the stack can be placed in any way you like
🔹Glue, tape, or any other adhesive may NOT be used to support the stack
🔹The stack must be freely built by hand without additional supports
🔹 Film your whole attempt as a normal video (not timelapse), from setting up the base until it collapses
🔹 After placing a domino, the stack must remain standing for 3 seconds for that domino to be successfully counted in your total. If it falls 1 second after you place the 99th domino, your total stacked count would be 98 dominoes. If it falls 4 seconds after placing the 99th domino, your total stacked count would be 99.
🔹Count the number of dominoes you were able to successfully stack on a single piece (Be sure to subtract the 1 base domino from your total count)
🔹 Tip: To make counting easier, when building, take dominoes from a separate container so they don’t get mixed in with the dominoes from the stack when it falls
🔹Optional Tip: If you will be filming for a long time, record it as a YouTube livestream to prevent your camera from turning off or running out of space
🔹 Optionally: Feel free to record an intro if you’d like! “What’s up Domino Community, I’m [name/username] and today I’ll be attempting the Domino Balance Challenge!”
🔹 Use a tripod (or prop your camera up on something) to keep the camera still when you film
🔹 Ensure that your camera is wide enough to show the entire stack as it gets taller without going out of frame
🔹 IMPORTANT: Film horizontally in widescreen (16:9)
🔹 Do not speed up the video you submit - building should be real time and unedited
🔹 You can do multiple attempts, but please only submit your best one.
🔹 Do not add music or additional watermarks to the video
🔹 Deadline to submit an entry is Sunday, April 5 at 11:59PM ET
🔹 Must be 13 years or older or have a parent’s permission to submit your video
🔹 Have fun :)
SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO (2 steps - please read carefully):

Collaborative Community Compilations
Twice a year, we organize ways to involve domino enthusiasts in our “Collaborative Community Compilation” videos. Usually these are challenges, contests, or other fun things related to dominoes. Take a look at the videos we have created together below:
